If you find yourself on the pristine shores of Ngapali Beach in Myanmar, do not miss the hidden gem that is Silver Wave Seafood Restaurant. Nestled in a serene and almost untouched part of the beach, this family-run café offers a culinary experience that is both delightful and authentic. With its rustic charm and breathtaking views, Silver Wave is more than just a place to eat; it’s an invitation to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the coastal landscape.

The menu at Silver Wave features a delightful array of fresh seafood, masterfully cooked to perfection. Signature dishes include a tantalizing seafood curry that bursts with flavor, paired beautifully with perfectly cooked rice. Take it from satisfied patrons like Jonathan Drennan, who exuberantly claimed it to be “literally the perfect spot,” thanks to the serene setting and the delicious offerings that are crafted with love by a caring family. It’s not just food; it’s a part of their story.

The atmosphere is what truly sets Silver Wave apart. The tiny hut restaurant opens its doors to the calm waves and soft sands, creating a dining experience that feels intimately connected to nature. Weaving together the sounds of distant waves and the laughter of a welcoming family, the ambiance is all about relaxation and enjoying good food in a picturesque setting. As noted by Anne Sander, the “superb sunset views” elevate dining here to a whole new level; you’ll want to stay for every sun dip into the horizon, making memories against a backdrop that’s hard to forget.

Testaments from other visitors, such as Maya Brenner and Jordan Gibson, underline the restaurant's charm and authenticity. With Maya describing it as a place that is “wonderfully serene and untouched,” it’s clear that Silver Wave offers an escape from the touristy hustle and bustle of the beach. Jordan, on the other hand, couldn’t resist the fabulous food and drinks, making it a daily visit during his stay. For those looking for a culinary adventure that reflects the heart of local culture, this is the place to be.

Savoring the tiger prawns or perhaps diving into the fresh catch of the day is not just about the meal itself; it’s about the experience of being present in a place woven into the fibers of the land. Steve Simmonds reminisced about their enchanting find, making the trek from the Amara hotel worth every step. Silver Wave is more than a restaurant; it is a gathering spot where the fresh ingredients are lovingly prepared and nature’s bounty celebrated.

In a world where restaurants can sometimes feel impersonal, Silver Wave Seafood Restaurant stands out as a heartfelt, family-run venture. So if you wish to taste wholesome, fresh seafood while surrounded by the beauty of Myanmar’s coastline, make your way to this delightful café. You’re ensured a meal filled with flavor, warmth, and unforgettable scenery—with the added bonus of catching a breathtaking sunset while you indulge. It’s a treasure waiting to be discovered.

A tiny hut restaurant located in the secluded northern part of Ngapali. This place is wonderfully serene and untouched. There is nothing else on this part of the beach except this small family run restaurant. The food is fresh, tasty, and the prices are more or less the same as the other restaurants further south. If you want to get away from the touristy part of the beach, definitely go here. We were the only guests at around noon. We had a great meal with a beautiful view all by ourselves. The family was really sweet and welcoming. Make sure to rent an e-scooter at the hotel or along the streets; it’s a nice way to get around, and you’ll see more than the beach on the way.

Literally the perfect spot, on an almost deserted wide beach. Delicious and fresh seafood curry from a lovely family. My favourite place here and wonderful for dinner when it's quiet.

A lovely little food place right on the beach! Superb sunset views and great seafood. We could walk here from our hotel, but so worth visiting. Also open for lunch. The tiger prawns were just delicious. Thank you!

Tiny seafood restaurant on a beautiful stretch of beach. Me and my partner were staying at the Amara, and while the food there was great, we fancied a change of scene and wandered up the beach to find this place. What a find! We went back twice. Small family run restaurant, one day they were shut "I caught no fish" was the fathers reasoning. Super fresh! Seafood curry was great, but the king prawns were amazing. Wooden deck chairs, your feet in the sand watching the sunset. What more could you want...

This bar/restaurant is the perfect location to spend a hole day at the beach. All in all it is a quiet and lovely place where you can relax to the sound of the waves. The offered seafood is delicious and the prices are fair and reasonable. The beach is also perfect for swimming (no rocks).

Silver Wave Seafood was our favorite resto in Ngapali. What more could you want than a peaceful seafood restaurant on the beach with the nicest family?? We first discovered the place in January and then when we returned in March. The seafood is fresh and the view is just phenomenal. Often times we were the only ones there and while it was relaxing, I also hope more people discover this gem. The seafood may be more expensive than the restaurants on the road (no atmosphere and lots of flies) but you’re paying for the atmosphere and the freshness. Grilled prawns which were so delicious were 10,000 as well as the prawn curry which were our favorites. We ate here 7 times and always the warmest welcome and never got sick. If you’re staying on the other side of the airport, it’s worth the bike ride or stroll on the beach. Just the most idyllic setting with nothing else around except palm trees and sand. The family is what makes the place so special and we’re so thankful this place exists!
